Hello all,
This is Sara from pineBrook Vintage. Now, I've been really into vintage clothing, home goods, and the art of homemaking for the past few years. My mom, Laura, raised me to be a well rounded young woman and part of that was learning how to sew, how to bake, and general housekeeping. Now, as 21 year old female living in California, I have come to find that many of my counterparts are somewhat lacking in these skills, but many want to carry on the traditions of the women before them and are not sure how. No need to fret! If you are a young lady looking to become a well-rounded homemaker, a woman who just needs to learn a few new tricks, or a man who wants to be able to keep up with us ladies, we present to you: "Modern June." We will teach you how to be a modern June Cleaver in your spare time. How to cook a simple dinner, how to quickly fix a tear in your favorite garment, how to care for your vintage clothing. I am in no way suggesting that women are meant to be only homemakers, as I am a college graduate and young professional myself, but these chapters will be a throwback to an old way of life that is on the perilous edge of extinction. So tie on your apron, roll up your sleeves, and get ready to learn anything you could need to know about being a "Modern June!"
